Consult GEE Helps Cut £6.6bn of
Personal Injury Claims
Last year there were almost 300,000
claims for compensation made against organisations in the UK, costing
a total of £6.6bn.
Those organisations that do not comply with health
and safety legislation are taking a big risk, leaving them open
not only to compensation claims from employees, but also fines from
regulatory bodies, and higher insurance costs.
Health and Safety specialist Consult GEE announces
the launch of a new service Consult GEE Essential Health & Safety.
It is aimed at easing the burden of those responsible for health
and safety by helping them to comply with the increasingly complicated
rules and regulations.
The service includes:
- a health and safety audit, where Consult
GEE’s health and safety specialists visittheir
clients’ offices to identify if they are complying with the
guidelines and, as necessary, provide advice on
how to implement improvements;
- an action plan to help prioritise
and monitor progress, ensuring a safer working environment
for staff;
- access to a staffed helpline, which
provides advice 24-hours a day, seven days a week;
- online support allowing easy access
to information and documents on a range of topics,
ensuring clients can demonstrate compliance with health and safety
guidelines;
- updates on changes to legislation
to ensure customers remain compliant with the
law and have advanced warning of any changes they need to make.
Martin Redfern, Head of Advisory Services at Consult
GEE comments: “Keeping up with the health and safety rules
is a huge responsibility for employers. They are often not aware
of the regulations, nor do they have the time to ensure that they
comply with them. We aim to provide a complete service giving advice
on Health & Safety issues; making certain that employers achieve
the required levels of compliance, while ensuring they are aware
of precisely what they need to do to adhere to the regulations.”
