Careless Driving Summons after Bmw Prang

Rooney escaped uninjured after a crash in his £50,000 BMW
X5, it was revealed today.
The 19-year-old England striker was in collision
with a Nissan Primera driven by a 45-year-old woman, who suffered
minor whiplash injuries.
The £50,000-a-week Utd star was involved
in the accident at a shopping centre in Cheadle Hulme, Stockport
at 4pm on Thursday.
Rooney, who lives in Cheshire, will now get a letter
summoning him to Stockport Magistrates Court to face a charge of
driving without due car and attention.
He faces a maximum fine of £5,000 and possible
ban.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said:
“Police were informed of a two vehicle road traffic collision
at the Stanley Green Retail Park roundabout in Cheadle Hulme in
Stockport, shortly before 4pm today, Thursday 12th May 2005.
“A BMW X5 was in collision with a Nissan
Primera. The 45-year-old female driver of the Nissan suffered minor
whiplash injuries.
“The 19-year-old male driver of the BMW from
Cheshire has been reported for summons for driving without due care
and attention.”
The accident marked came during bad day for Manchester
United yesterday.
United States tycoon Malcolm Glazer launched his
bid to buy the club prompting protests and anger among fans and
Rio Ferdinand appeared in court for speeding after overtaking a
police car at 106mph.
He will be sentenced later this month.
